Easy Thanksgiving Centerpiece

This pretty Thanksgiving centerpiece was super easy to put together! I used real and faux pumpkins and gourds, dried orange slices, dried green hydrangeas and brass candlesticks to create it. Let me show you how!
Items Needed for Your Thanksgiving Centerpiece

I love creating and being creative. It is so much fun to look at what you have and make something pretty from it. With that in mind, use my ideas as a jumping off point, knowing that if you don’t have all of the things I used, that’s OK!
Here’s what I included in my Thanksgiving Centerpiece:
- Bread Board. Mine is about 40 inches long and 12 inches wide. If you don’t have a bread board, use a woven tray or even just set everything on top of a table runner!
- 4 small white pumpkins. You can find real pumpkins this time of year at most grocery stores.
- 6 small orange pumpkins. Mine are from Trader Joe’s.
- 3 medium sized pumpkins in different colors. Two of mine are faux and one is real. You can find great looking faux pumpkins at Pottery Barn, Hobby Lobby and even the dollar store!
- 4 Brass Candlesticks. I love that we are seeing so much brass right now. I think it’s timeless and classic and love the little bit of sparkle it adds to a table. I bought mine at antique malls and thrift stores.
- “Flameless” off-white candles. If you haven’t heard of these, that are so great!! I used orange candles in my outdoor table, but decided on the battery operated ones inside. They even come with a remote.
- 4 green dried hydrangea stems, cut into smaller pieces. If you have hydrangeas that dry really beautifully, use those. If not, you can buy yours like I did :)
- When I did the outdoor arrangement, I added some fall leaves from our trees and a few magnolia stems. The leaves eventually dried and the magnolia stems looked great, but I decided not to use them inside.
- Pinecones would look great, too!

I love this pretty fall table. The tablecloth looks perfect with the yellows, oranges and greens in the arrangement. Outdoor dining is so wonderful. The leaves were at the height of their fall beauty when I took these pictures!!
Step by Step Centerpiece Instructions

- Set your breadboard, tray or table runner on your table.
- The biggest pumpkin and candlesticks were the first things I placed on the bread board.
- Next came the white and orange pumpkins. I just put them so that the white were next to orange with space to fill in the gaps with the dried hydrangeas and mini pumpkins/gourds.
- I tucked in the dried hydrangeas throughout the arrangement until I liked the way it looked.
- Lastly, any open space was filled with the mini pumpkins and gourds. If you have pinecones, that would work great as well.
I love that this arrangement will last a few months if you want it to! I have used it outside on my patio, on my breakfast room table, and it’s currently on my dining room table. Just don’t be like my sweet friend who had a horrible smell in her house and after searching for days, realized her 4 month old pumpkins had turned black and moldy!! Ha!
