Nothing says summer quite like gathering around a red, white and blue table! This patriotic table combines some of my favorite things—beautiful blue and white linens, meaningful small-business finds, and bright pops of red from fresh flowers. Whether you’re hosting for Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, or a casual summer gathering, this table is simple, classic, and easy to recreate.

This indigo blue tablecloth from Cotton Print Club is one of my all-time favorites. If you’ve followed me for any length of time, you know I have a soft spot for blue and white, so it’s no surprise that this one gets used again and again. I’ve styled it for spring tables, patriotic celebrations, a wedding shower, and even Christmas.
The beautiful indigo pattern is timeless and works with so many different decorating styles. One of the things I appreciate most is how well it washes and wears. After multiple uses, it still looks just as lovely as the day I received it. It comes in several different sizes, making it easy to use on everything from a small breakfast table to a larger dining table.
The patriotic napkins are from The Southern Napkin, a company owned by the sweetest woman named Tracy. I was first introduced to Tracy last fall when she created custom napkins for my Thanksgiving table. Since then, she’s made beautiful napkins for Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Easter, and now these fun patriotic designs.
I know some people get nervous about using linen napkins because they seem high maintenance, but they are actually very easy to care for. I wash mine on the gentle cycle and dry them just enough that they’re still slightly damp, which makes ironing much easier. For stains, I always keep my favorite stain remover on hand. Tracy recently launched a darling bag company as well, and I love supporting her business and sending friends her way.

For this table, I wanted the linens and centerpiece to be the stars, so I kept the place settings simple and classic. Blue and white melamine salad plates pair beautifully with the indigo tablecloth and help create a layered look without feeling overly busy. The round woven chargers have such a fun design and can be dressed up or down. The combination feels fresh, timeless, and perfect for summer entertaining. The red plates are some I’ve had for years, but here’s a LINK to some similar ones! Over the past few years I have found myself using my bamboo flatware all the time! I think it looks so fun on the center of the plate tied with a red and white striped ribbon.
One of the things I love most about patriotic decorating is that it doesn’t have to be overly themed. By using classic blue and white pieces and adding touches of red through flowers and accessories, the table feels festive for any summer gathering.
The Easy Centerpiece

The centerpiece is simple, happy, and so easy to recreate. I filled a blue and white planter I received as a wedding gift with two red kalanchoe plants from the grocery store to bring in that perfect patriotic pop of color. The combination of the red flowers against the blue and white pottery creates a look that is both classic and eye-catching. I was actually hoping to find red gerber daisies, but they didn’t have any. The great thing about buying plants as opposed to fresh flowers is they last much longer. Two small American flags finish the arrangement and are perfect for the 4th of July!
Bringing It All Together
One of my favorite things about this table is how versatile the pieces are. The tablecloth, napkins, chargers, and dishes can all be used throughout the year in different ways, making them worthwhile additions to your entertaining collection.
Whether you’re hosting a backyard barbecue, a 4th of July dinner, or simply gathering family and friends around the table, this patriotic table is proof that a few beautiful linens, fresh flowers, and classic dishes can create a welcoming space where memories are made.
Here are some other patriotic tables I’ve created!
Grateful for you!
