Pretty and Affordable Valentine’s Tablescapes
I love Valentine’s Day because it gives me an excuse to set pretty tables in pink, red and white! Here are three different affordable Valentine’s tablescapes including items from Target to Amazon with a few thrifted finds thrown in for good measure!!

Target Valentine’s Table
Do you love Target? Target gets me in trouble because you can literally have toilet paper, windex and chicken breasts on your list and you come home with a new shirt, cute plates and you may or may not have actually gotten the groceries you went in to get! Ha!
Well, last time I was at Target I found the cutest pink melamine plates and red melamine bowls. The best part- they were only $3.00 each!!!! They also had the cutest heart table runner that was calling my name.
Target Table Items Needed
This table is truly so easy and inexpensive to put together. Here’s what you’ll need:
- White felt table pad. Before setting a table, it’s important to cover your table with a table protector. I get mine from Amazon. They come in all different sizes and are very reasonably priced.
- White Tablecloth. You can find a nice white tablecloth at Target, Amazon or pretty much any department store. My guess is you already have one!
- Table runner. This heart table runner was only $10 at Target!
- 6-8 heart plates and bowls. At $3 each, you won’t feel guilty about your purchase!
- 6-8 Glasses. These pretty pink glasses were a Christmas gift. I think they are so beautiful and was super excited to use them. You can use whatever glasses you have!
- 6-8 napkins. These fun napkins look great by themselves, but in my opinion just about everything looks better with a bow:). So I added little red gingham bows.
- Flowers for a centerpiece. I used grocery store roses and seeded eucalyptus. I love this centerpiece as well!
Target Table Steps
- Cover the table with the felt table protector.
- Add your white tablecloth and table runner.
- Put the plates, bowls and napkins in front of each chair.
- Add the glasses, silverware and flowers.
- Voila! It ended up so pretty and was very affordable to put together!

Red and White Polkadot Table
This cute table uses some red melamine dinner plates I’ve had for years, polkadot plates and darling Lucy Grymes paper placemats. White napkins with a gingham bow add a fun and playful look to the table!
Table Steps and Needed Items
- Start with your felt table pad and white tablecloth.
- Add your placemats- any will work!
- Put your dinner plates (here are some similar ones) , salad plates and napkins on the table next.
- Add your glasses, silverware and flowers. Easy and pretty!

Pretty Thrifted Tablescape
This pretty tablescape started with darling red and white bowls I got from Goodwill Finds. Do you know about Goodwill Finds? It’s a Goodwill website that has some of their nicer items, but still sells them at really great prices! They often have sales or free shipping codes, too. The white plates are inexpensive caterer plates from Amazon and the red chargers are from Michaels. The pink glasses were a Christmas gift from Amazon. The brass table lamps are indoor/outdoor and rechargeable! The Crimson Blossom Table Runner from Pomegranate is so pretty and something you can use year round.
Table Items and Steps
- As always, start with your felt table protector.
- Add your white tablecloth and runner if you have one.
- Next add chargers, white caterer plates and sweet little red and white bowls.
- I added the pink glasses, red napkins with pink satin bows and silverware next.
- Along the runner I put some crystal candlesticks we received as a wedding gift, fun brass table lamps and grocery store roses.

How fun is the Valentine garland on my French Dresser? It is so cute and happy!! Adding the pink satin bows to the napkins is super easy, inexpensive and really makes a big difference!
Setting pretty tables does not have to cost a lot of money or take a lot of time! These pretty tables show off affordable plates, bowls, tablecloths and things I already own. Be creative when you’re setting the table. Use what you have and have fun with it!
Happy Valentine’s Day friends.
