Classic Blue and Orange Thanksgiving Table

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times to gather around the table with family and friends, and this table might be one of my favorites yet. Using my grandmother’s china with our wedding china, real and faux pumpkins, and a fun centerpiece, this Thanksgiving tablescape is pretty and classic. Whether you’re hosting a large family dinner or a meal with friends, this classic Thanksgiving table setting is full of inspiration for your next fall gathering.
Linens and Foundation

I started with a dark orange and cream buffalo check tablecloth that sets a warm and welcoming tone to the table. The tablecloth is one I used in another fall table linked here and is a favorite of mine. To complement the tablecloth, I used navy napkins monogrammed in the same dark orange that bring a fun pop of color. You know I love a good monogrammed napkin and the way it makes a table setting special and unique.
Natural woven placemats from Amazon add texture and help anchor each place setting, while bamboo flatware makes the table more casual. Combing casual pieces with special occasion ones helps the table feel both inviting and warm at the same time.
Dishes and Place Setting

For the plates, I used my grandmother’s Indian Tree china with warm orange and rust tones that pair beautifully with the tablecloth. Layering them with a simple dinner plate beneath helps the pattern stand out even more. The dinner plates are from our wedding registry and it was sweet to combine them with my grandmother’s pieces. I love using pieces that hold a bit of nostalgia, and these have been part of our Thanksgiving traditions for years. My grandmother used them during my dad’s childhood, my mom used them hosting Thanksgiving during my childhood, and now I am using them when I host! So special!
Centerpiece Decor

The centerpiece combines soft white hydrangeas in a blue-and-white jar (one of my favorites!) with natural elements like pinecones, faux magnolia leaves, and small pumpkins in shades of orange, white, and navy velvet. My pumpkins come from all different places! The blue velvet ones were a dollar store find, the orange velvet and gold pumpkins are from Amazon and then I also added real pumpkins from Trader Joe’s! Two woven cornucopia filled with mini pumpkins and pinecones beautifully fills the center of the table.
I also added candles in glass hurricanes (from Walmart!) and a few deep navy tapers for a warm glow. The result is a table that feels welcoming, warm, and perfectly layered with fall texture.

Creating a classic Thanksgiving table doesn’t have to be complicated—it’s about blending your favorite pieces with thoughtful seasonal touches. This table brings together everything I love about fall: warm colors, natural textures, and a sense of gratitude that fills the room long after dinner is over.
