Famille Rose Table Two Ways: Perfect for Easter and Mother’s Day

Setting a beautiful table is one of my favorite ways to celebrate special occasions. Spring is in full bloom and Easter and Mother’s Day are the perfect opportunities to create truly special table settings. Williams-Sonoma Famille Rose plates are the shining stars in both tables. I love that the Famille Rose collection has many pieces, so I can add to mine over the coming years.

Table 1: A Famille Rose Easter Table

The Williams-Sonoma Famille Rose plates set the tone for this tablescape with their delicate floral design and soft, pretty color palette. I have had my eye on these plates for a few years now. A sweet friend gave me a set of Famille Rose vases for my birthday and it was just the nudge I needed to buy the plates I’ve been wanting.

Table Linens

I had so much fun putting together this fun and happy table! Instead of the crisp white tablecloth I am using for Mother’s Day, I opted for a green and white buffalo check tablecloth. The easy care tablecloth comes in a bunch of colors, but the green and white and blue and white are my favorites. You can see some of the other tables I created using those tablecloths here. I covered the table with a felt cover pad before putting the tablecloth on the table. The pad protects the table from heat, scratches and spills. The green and white check tablecloth really makes the rest of the table pop and brings out the green in the plates.

The napkins I used are some of my favorites. In my opinion everyone should have at least one set on monogrammed napkins! I have had these for years and use them frequently. In case you are worried about stains, this stain remover works really well. For super stubborn stains, try soaking the linens in Borax overnight.

To build dimension, I layered Henhouse pink and white round placemats over the tablecloth. The placemats reverse to a bright stripe and I love how they look with the pretty greens of the table. At each place setting, dark green chargers provide another fun element that highlights the Federal Cobalt Lenox dinner plates (our wedding china that I still love!), and serve as a base for the Famille Rose salad plates.

Layering lots of patterns and textures makes my heart sing and makes the table much more interesting. To complete the table, I used our Reed & Barton Burgundy silver which I feel like is so appropriate to celebrate Easter. (Side note- I just polished them using these amazing silver polish wipes!)

Floral Centerpiece

A pretty floral arrangement really ties the entire tablescape together. For this table, I wanted a centerpiece that felt lush, feminine, and just beautiful! A mix of pink roses, pink tulips, white hydrangeas, and white stock creates a stunning focal point with soft layers of color and texture. The combination of pastel pinks and crisp whites is beautiful but doesn’t take away from the rest of the table.

To enhance the tablescape, I incorporated my favorite (very reasonable priced!) hurricanes with off white candles and small Famille Rose vases scattered along the table.

Famille Rose Mother’s Day Table

For Mother’s Day, I wanted to create a table that feels beautiful—just like the moms we know and love! The combination of a crisp white tablecloth, Famille Rose salad plates, pink napkins, and fun gold chargers sets the stage for an elegant yet inviting gathering. Using a white tablecloth really allows the beautiful plates and flowers to shine!

Table Linens

A crisp white tablecloth provides the perfect backdrop for this tablescape, allowing the pretty floral details of the plates to stand out. I always cover my table with a felt tablecover before adding the tablecloth. As I mentioned above, it protects the table from heat, spills and scratches. The white tablecloth keeps the table feeling fresh and and allows the pretty plates to shine! Complementing it with hot pink napkins adds a soft, feminine touch, tying in beautifully with the colors of the Famille Rose plates. I found some pretty gold napkin rings that I used with the napkins. I love how they look with the fun gold chargers.

Reed & Barton Burgundy Silverware

Nothing elevates a table quite like silver does. We registered for Reed & Barton Burgundy silver over 26 years ago and to this day, it is still my most favorite silver pattern! Its intricate design adds an element of timeless beauty and I love that one day my daughters will enjoy the set as well. This silverware is a true classic that enhances the entire table and adds a pretty shine as well. I added some pretty sterling salt & pepper shakers that were my grandmothers and placed the beautiful centerpiece on a polished silver tray for another touch of sparkle.

Rose and Hydrangea Centerpiece

If you have followed me for any amount of time, you know that I love flowers and creating floral arrangements. Here are some of my favorites! To tie everything together, I created a floral centerpiece featuring hot pink roses, white roses, hydrangeas and fresh greenery. Placing the arrangement on a polished silver tray keeps the elegant. I was so excited to use the Famille Rose bud vases my friend gave me on this special table.
