Blue and Green Holiday Table Inspiration

You don’t need Christmas china to set a fun table. In fact, I have used Spode Blue Italian countless times to create beautiful tables for Christmas and New Year’s. Get creative with what you already have. Add some greenery, pinecones and ornaments and voila! You have a festive holiday table. Here are two of my favorite blue and green holiday tables I created for a recent gathering in our home.

Blue and Green Holiday Table #1

This pretty table started with marbled Christmas ornaments that my friend Rebecca and I made. Here is a blog post with step-by-step instructions on how to create them. They are super easy and I love that you can use any color combination you want.

I started the table with a blue and white check easy care tablecloth. I actually have several of these tablecloths in different colors and highly recommend them. The price is fantastic and they are very easy to clean and need minimal ironing.

I topped the tablecloth with green chargers, my grandmother‘s green and white plates and blue and white Spode salad plates. I used some of my all time favorite embroidered napkins. My friend Sarah creates beautiful embroidered masterpieces and you can find her here.

For the centerpiece, I used some faux cedar branches and nestled in royal blue votive holders and the marbled ornaments. I did a small arrangement of different white flowers set a top a blue and white platter with a little bit of moss. It turned out so pretty.

Holiday Table #2

This table was set in our dining room the same night I put together the table above in my breakfast room. This table was a little bit more formal. I used the same brand buffalo check tablecloth, but for this table I picked a forest green and white check option. The most gorgeous magnolia garland was the star of the table. Blue and white porcelain ornaments, pinecones and small vases make it unique. Brass candlesticks with flameless candles added a nice sparkle to the table.

This set of 16 mini vases is such a great deal and they are so versatile. I scattered six of them throughout the center with white tulips, spray roses, and greenery. The monogrammed napkins are some I’ve had for years and continue to use a bunch. In case you are worried about getting stains out of your linen napkins, don’t worry! This stain remover is the best I’ve found and gets out just about everything.

Blue chargers, Spode Blue Italian Dinner plates and soup bowls and cobalt blue water glasses work perfectly with the other blue accents.

Putting together beautiful tables for the holidays doesn’t need to be hard, and you don’t need Christmas china to do it!
