Beautiful Orange and Pinecone Autumn Table

This classic autumn table uses oranges, pinecones and candles to create a simple- yet beautiful-setting for your next gathering.

Sometimes I just can’t buy any more flowers (silly budget!) but I still want to create a pretty tablescape.

Anyone else!?

My table design started with these fall table accents I bought a few years ago from Hester and Cook. I’ve written about Hester and Cook before as I love all of their beautiful tabletop decor!! The pretty Pomander table accents are now on clearance for $5.50 for a set of 12!, but still available on their website.

I decided our reclaimed barn wood table was the perfect backdrop for my orange and brown table.

I got some oranges from the fridge and pinecones from our neighborhood.

One of the gifts of living in Colorado is the beautiful pine and evergreen trees!! AND the gifts they leave on the ground as they drop treasure. Finley and I picked up a full kitchen trash bag full of pinecones on a recent walk. So so happy.

I put the pinecones in a sealed trash bag for about 10 days to make sure any little critters would die before I used them in a tablescape. No one wants bugs crawling around on the table during dinner!!

I used my rattan chargers that are on repeat and Spode Delamere plates. I love how the die cut accents look on top of the brown and cream plates.

Orange and Pinecone Centerpiece

Then to put the centerpiece together. I started with a pretty wood bowl from an antique mall and filled it with 6 large clementines and 3 oranges. Then I filled in the gaps with pinecones. Some medium sized ones and some teeny tiny ones.

Then I added a few small orange and white pumpkins, little faux gourds and pumpkins and amber hued tea lights. I tucked some eucalyptus I had to add a touch of green and voila! It was truly that easy.

I love how the candles flicker in the evening light.

I love how this table took about 15 minutes to create- start to finish.

And I love how warm and inviting it is. This autumn table with oranges and pinecones creates a warm and cozy setting for your next meal.
