How to Create a Whimsical Nutcracker Themed Christmas Table

This whimsical nutcracker Christmas table includes bright colors, monogrammed napkins, and will add joy to your next gathering!

By now you probably know I love a good monogram! I think it’s the southern girl in me, but add a monogram to a simple napkin, pillow or guest towel, and I’m giddy! When I received these beautiful napkins in the mail from my friend, Sarah, I knew I wanted to create a colorful and whimsical Christmas table with them.

Theme

I have a collection of nutcrackers and knew they would be perfect for the whimsical look I wanted to create. I decided to use bright primary colors to make the table pop. You can find nutcrackers in all shapes and sizes from Amazon, Craft Stores or even your local thrift store.

Nutcracker Christmas Table Items Needed

1. I used my new check napkins, but truly any brightly colored napkin would do.
2. I love these chinoiserie blue and white paper placemats from Roseanne Beck! I feel like they look perfect with the table. They just sold out, but she has tons of blue and white designs on her website that would look great. I did another Christmas table with Rosanne Beck paper placemats here!
3. Do y’all love the dollar spot at target like I do? I found the darling little bottlebrush trees I used and brought a bunch for my tablescapes, and Christmas decorating this year.
4. I used one miniature nutcracker on top of each napkin (6 total) , and two large nutcrackers for the centerpiece
5. Once again, I brought out my favorite blue and white jars from The Enchanted Home, and filled them with a simple arrangement of green hydrangeas, red roses, and St John’s wort. 
6. I gathered my blue votive holders
7. And used red juice/water glasses and green wine glasses.

Nutcracker Christmas Table Steps

1. I first placed the placemats on the table and topped them with inexpensive white caterer plates.
2. Then I put the check napkins (I ordered them from Amazon and sent to Tewlip Designs to be monogrammed) and the mini nutcrackers on top
3. The red and green glasses were placed in the right spots and add another pop-up color
4. Next came the flower arrangements and the large nutcrackers in the center of the table
5. Because my table is a little long for six people I feel like I always need to fill in the extra space. I used my bottlebrush trees on the four corners of the table.
6. I scattered blue votive holders throughout the middle of the table.
7. Then I added a few colorful ornaments to fill in any extra gaps.

Voila! I love how my happy and whimsical my Nutcracker Christmas table turned out!
