The EASIEST Homemade Brownies!!!
Four thick, rich chocolate brownies are stacked on an ornate floral-patterned plate. The brownies have a slightly crumbly surface and appear dense and fudgy inside.
A freshly baked tray of brownies sits cooling on the stovetop. The brownies are in a rectangular pan lined with aluminum foil. A blue pot is visible in the background.

These super easy homemade brownies are soft, fudgy, have perfectly crisp edges and are made with only 7 ingredients! They are the best and easiest homemade brownies!! Along with our favorite chocolate chip cookies, this is one of my go-to sweet treats I make for friends and family. These brownies freeze well and make a great gift to take to a neighbor, teacher or friend.
Why I Love These Brownies
Let me tell you-I really love chocolate. Like I might be borderline addicted to chocolate…especially dark chocolate!! So I’m super picky when it comes to brownies. I like homemade. Chewy. Just the right amount of chocolatey goodness. AND- it’s always a bonus when they are easy to make. These check all of those boxes and truly are the best and easiest homemade brownies!!
I love that these brownies taste just as good gluten free as they do with regular all purpose flour. My favorite is Bob’s Red Mill All Purpose GF flour. It’s truly cup-for-cup so you can use it to replace traditional all purpose flour. I’ve even made them with only oat flour and they were delicious!!
Sometimes I make a mocha frosting to top them off. However, they are really so good just the way they are. The Mocha Frosting Recipe in “Notes” section of recipe card below!
Thank you Kraft/Heinz for “Bakers One Bowl Brownie” recipe! After trying dozens of recipes, it’s my favorite. Bonus- it’s super easy, too!!
Ingredients
Only 7 ingredients needed! Six if you don’t add pecans :)
~BAKER’S Unsweetened Chocolate
~Butter
~Sugar
~Eggs
~Vanilla
~Flour
Chopped pecans optional- I sometimes add them and sometimes don’t!
Brownie Preparation
Line your 9×13 baking pan with foil. This makes it easy to pull the brownies out of the pan after they have cooled. You will want to spray the foil with non stick cooking spray or grease the pan just to make sure the brownies don’t stick.
I love this recipe because you literally use 1 Bowl- hence the name- Baker’s One Bowl Brownies!
I use a large 8 cup Pyrex measuring cup to melt the butter and chocolate. Make sure you stir after 2 minutes and watch closely so the mixture doesn’t burn. Next stir in the sugar really well. Add the eggs and stir quickly. Then the vanilla and flour. Pour into your prepared pan and bake for about 30 minutes!
Here are some step by step pictures!
