The Best Throw Pillows and Where to Buy Them
I don’t know about you, but sometimes I want to refresh a room, but I don’t have a big budget to do it. Pillows are the perfect way to refresh a space without breaking the bank. Here are my favorite throw pillows and where to find them.
I have a confession to make… I collect pillows. Some people might collect books or artwork or pretty boxes. Well, I collect pillows! There’s a closet in our basement that has tons of pillow covers. It’s fun to switch out my pillows and I love changing them for different seasons!
Amazon Throw Pillows

It seems like most home decor bloggers have shared these pillows at least once over the past year. I wanted to see if they stand up to the hype and let me tell you- they absolutely do!! They are beautifully embroidered with pretty blue flowers and green stems. There is a zipper in the seam and they truly look custom made. The best part? The price!! I put them on my couch in our basement and love how they brighten the room.

Then there are these pillows that I feel like we see everywhere as well! They come in a ton of color options and the quality is amazing! I put the pink with blue trim in my older daughter’s room and I love how they add a pop of color to her white bedding!
Amazon Designer Inspired Pillows

These pillows are similar to designer pillows that are 10x the cost. I used them outside on my porch. Even though I knew they would get dirty, I didn’t mind putting them outside because of the low price point.
Block Print Pillows

Block print pillows are everywhere right now. I love the price point and that you can add a pop of color without spending a bunch of money. Here are a couple of my favorite block print throw pillows from Amazon.
Ballard Designs Pillows
Ballard designs has great pillows and it seems like they always have a sale. Most big cities have a Ballard storefront. In fact, one just opened in Denver!! You can order online if you can’t pop into a store.
These linen pillows are so pretty. They have an off white flange and back, and have a zipper so you can wash them. They are beautifully made and are a great backdrop for print pillows.
I bought the smaller ones and had a seamstress add a pretty trim from calico. They really elevate the space without the custom price tag.
Ballard has these new scallop edge linen throw pillows. DARLING!!!! They come in 3 colors: green, blue and cream. Hopefully they will add new colors soon.
Our upstairs guestroom got a refresh with the navy blue ones.
The basement has the cornflower blue option and I feel like they help our very old couch look a little more updated. Ha!

Custom Made Pillows
Custom made pillows are more expensive, but you only need a few to really make an impact.
As I mentioned in a post about our living room, our cream couches are from Calico. The couches are so comfortable and the Crypton fabric is amazing. The navy floral print pillows are from a Vern Yip fabric and still look great 3 years later.

Etsy Throw Pillows
Etsy has so many designer pillow options! The ones I checked out had mostly five star reviews and very happy customers. Here are some we have our own home that absolutely love. This Bali Hai by Quadrille print is a fabric I’ve literally loved for years. I finally took the plunge and bought 5 yards to cover a bench and two pillows. I love them! You can find them here.

Pillows are a fantastic way to update your home without redoing an entire room. I hope my sources for throw pillows have been helpful to you. Where do you like to buy pillows? I’d love to know!
Grateful for you,
Julie
