My 5 Summer Wardrobe Favorites
If I could only buy five pieces of clothing for summer, these are the things I would buy. These 5 must- have summer wardrobe favorites will be the pieces you reach for time and time again! I picked pieces that are timeless, classic, and that I truly feel good wearing. If you don’t feel good and pretty wearing something, you won’t reach for it. Am I right!?
Favorite White Wide Legged Cropped Jeans
Out of all of the things in my closet, these are the jeans I wear the most. I’m short waisted and don’t love jeans that are crazy high waisted. These cropped white jeans are just the right rise!! I find them to run true to size. They are so versatile. I love pairing them with a cute puff sleeved top or a cute “fancy” t-shirt with a scarf.
Somerset Maxi Dress
This dress has been Anthropologie’s best seller for years and I get the hype!! It is so feminine and beautiful and yet so very comfortable!!! It’s super flattering and runs true to size. I always get compliments when I wear it.
If you’re wanting a lower price point, I love these cute options that are around $50 or less!
Puff Sleeved Shirt
The puff sleeve has been on trend for a while now. I don’t know about you, but I love it! All of these cute tops have a pretty puff sleeve that’s not too big. I don’t want to look like a football player 😂. Speaking of football players, I cannot understand why designers are putting shoulder pads in dresses and tops. I just don’t get it!
Black Jumpsuit
There’s something so classy about a jumpsuit. Have you “jumped” (ha- get it!) on this trend? I think they are so fun and flattering.
Funny how sizing works. I had to size down in the Athleta jumpsuit (on the left ) and size up in the Anthro one! It’s just a number so I try and not fixate on it.
Colorful Mini Dress
I lived in Texas 46 of my 49 years of life and let me tell you – a short flowy dress became my summer go to. A cute cut that doesn’t touch anything is perfect in my book. It’s just so very hot and no one wants to wear something tight when it’s 105 degrees outside!! Here are several options at all different price points.
